GOD'S HEART FOR COMMUNITY
Why community?
Well, first it is important to recognize that we have a “core need” for community; it is placed in our very DNA. We come to understand this by recognizing that God defines and live s in perfect community Himself as the Father, Son & Spirit… the Trinity *Genesis 1:26, Mark 1:10-11). Next it is important to see that when God created us, He created us to live in community, both with Him and with others (Genesis 3:8-9; 2:18)
The need for community is a fundamental truth substantiated throughout the Bible: God makes clear that His heart is for community. Since we are created in God’s image, we are formed with this ned for community in our very essences. God affirms this need for community when He says, “It’s not good for the Man to be alone.” Indeed, we are created by Community for community.
Why a community of groups?
We encourage everyone to be part of a C3 group because we believe in the Biblical value of community. It is a core value for us that no one should stand alone. We believe groups are far more than just Bible Studies, serving opportunities, or a chance to make friends. Groups are where spiritual transformation and life-change happens best.
Because we place a high value on authentically sharing life together, our groups are an integral part of the foundation of our church.
We want people to grow where they are planted. So, no matter where you connect in our church, we want you to experience a group where you have an opportunity to be connected, cared for, and urged to grow.
