WHY SMALL GROUPS?

We believe that we’re better together. That is what small groups are all about!

Groups are where truth comes to life; where our needs are met and where we meet the needs of

others. They are where spiritual transformation and life-change happens best. Through C3-Groups,

we purposefully live out the 5 purposes set forth in the Great Commandment (Matthew 22:37) and Great Commission (Matthew 28:19-20).

C3-Groups are the primary place where you are known and cared for at SPC. It is within these small communities that we build personal relationships and practice applying the gospel to our lives. Each group expects to experience Jesus Christ in its midst, enabling participants to be transformed through mutual ministry and to experience life in the family of God.

All groups are led by trained lay-leaders from the congregation who receive continuing oversight and support from our pastoral staff. Groups meet for eight weeks four times a year for  Bible study, fellowship and prayer. Each group is encouraged to participate in service projects and missionary support.

These groups provide sanctuary from the pressures and anxieties of life facilitate the formation of new friendships. C3-Groups are places where we can be revitalized and strengthened as we seek to reflect the love of Jesus Christ to those in our lives and in our communities. As God made us for community, we need others to help us apply the gospel to our lives. Our hope is that everyone who attends our church will be involved in a C3-Group.

Groups are formed and re-formed regularly according to our C3-Groups schedule. One of the benefits of our schedule of taking a month off every quarter is that our groups are always open to others.
