John Greene, Senior Pastor
I was graduated from the Trinity Episcopal School for Ministry in Ambridge, PA in 2000 and served as a deacon and priest for pastoral care at All Saints Parish Waccamaw in Pawleys Island, SC from that time until coming to Asheville.
Prior to seminary we had lived in Knoxville, TN, my wife Suzanne's hometown and where I received my undergraduate degree from the University of Tennessee. We share a love of western North Carolina and felt in our hearts that God was calling us to this side of the mountains. Our children are Pelham, a student at the Asheville School, and Will, who attends T.C. Roberson.
I have been blessed to be a part of this work in Asheville since February of 2003. My family and I moved here in January 2004 in order for me to take on the leadership of the parish. The parish, however, began more than a year earlier as a Bible study group who, through prayer, believed that God was calling them to begin a new Anglican mission here in Asheville. We have been blessed by the many who have responded to that call to be part of what God is doing in the mountains.
